Just stop it.
There's no doubt that Jeb Bush is the best Bush but, pretty please, stop with the Jeb in '08 speculation.

I think their dad was much smarter, no?
And if you're talking about sex, Jenna wins. I like the evil twin.
Posted by: Joe Grossberg at January 18, 2007 11:59 AMPolitically, Jeb Bush is the best Bush.
Posted by: Karol at January 18, 2007 12:03 PMI love Jeb Bush.
Posted by: Dorian Davis at January 18, 2007 12:08 PMI love him too. I just don't want to hear one more word about him possibly running in '08.
Posted by: Karol at January 18, 2007 12:11 PMAgreed, Karol.
Posted by: Greg Tinti at January 18, 2007 12:13 PMI've had enough of Bushs in office. In the end the two we've had turned out to be useless in controlling the size of the government. I don't want to roll the dice again.
Posted by: Eric at January 18, 2007 12:39 PMThe Corner can get a little silly and, ahem, obsessive at times.
I know next to nothing about Romney, for instance, and I am already heartily sick of him.
Back off topic, I'm with Joe; the next President Bush will be one of the twins, but my vote would go to Barbara.
Posted by: Mark Poling at January 18, 2007 02:07 PMI love Jeb and his crackhead daughter. Yeah, tell me about family values when you can't even take care of your own home. Yes, that is what this country needs...your brother was a coke head and your daughter is a crack hoe...God Bless America.
Posted by: joaquinochoa at January 18, 2007 02:09 PMRead my lips. No new Bushes. Jeb is the best of the bunch but that really does not say much.
But there is a reason for the Jeb talk. There's not much for conservatives to get excited about in 2008 with McCain, Rudy and Romney in the lead and Newt...well being Newt. Think Kerry's flip flopping on Iraq is bad ? Try Romney's on social issues. There's no even talk about draft Kyl (just like there was talk about Sanford). I think conservatives will pretty much have to deal with either Tancredo, Brownback or Hunter for the moment.
Posted by: Von Bek at January 19, 2007 09:40 AMOut of the bunch Newt is the closest to my politics, but I don't think there's any way Newt can be elected unless his opponent steps on a landmine somewhere. The man divorced his cancer-stricken wife while she was in the hospital. Who could trust a man like that?
The rest of them are big government people. I guess we won't have a small government choice. Again.
