Someone please give NY's state senators something to do...

....NY State Senator Kruger wants to ban ipods and other handheld devices in crosswalks:

"You shouldn't be crossing streets and endangering the lives of yourself and others," said Kruger, a Democrat from Brooklyn who was expected to introduce the bill in Albany on Wednesday.

Kruger wants to make it illegal to use iPods, cell phones and other electronic devices while crossing the street, citing two people who were recently killed in his district doing just that.

"They walk into speeding cars. They walk into buses. They walk into each other," Kruger said.

Will the next ban be on deep thought? Perhaps on humming or singing? How about banning short shorts and tight t-shirts on pretty women? Otherwise how can we control distraction?!

So, here's a thought: How come Senator Kruger doesn't have his college listed anywhere on his Project Vote Smart profile? And, lest you think it's an oversight, how come calls to both his Avenue U constituent office as well as his Albany office produce "I don't have that information" results? I just want to know where the guy who came up with this brilliant plan went to college. I'm not a journalist, I just play one on the internet, but if I was I might look into that.

Carl is notorious for mimicking Pothole Al D'Amato in his appearances of caring and protecting. While meanwhile, he's stealing "issues" to "tackle" from other districts while he figures out which way the political wind is blowing so he sway red or blue today.
