On the subject of Tetris, here's a BBC documentary about the inventor who created it, which you just have to watch for yourself.
He's the Russian version of Philo Farnsworth.
Okay, so that isn't the most precise analogy-the profit-generating power of television outstripped that of Tetris-but it's close enough.
