Briefly Romney
Mitt Romney is standing next to me being interviewed by Ed Morrissey and vowing to change Washington. I had Ben Smith's page on Politico open on my laptop and he said "Oh, Politico! Nice!"
He's listing people like Ronald Reagan and Zell Miller who have changed their mind on abortion.
Philip Klein just asked him if he would sign an assault weapons ban. He said it depends. He's comparing himself to Bush on wanting the ban.
Marshall Manson asked about what type of judges he'd want. He says "individuals who believe in the constitution and the values of the constitution." He mentions Scalia, Thomas as the best kind of judges.
NZ Bear asked about resolutions he'd support on Iraq. He said it's not Nancy Pelosi's role to dictate to the war's leaders how to run the war.
I wanted to ask if how he thinks his religion will affect his chances but his handlers pulled him away.
