Well, Edwards can get some mileage out of his wife's cancer, and if she were to actually be unresponsive to treatment he'd get the Oprah watcher sympathy vote.

But he's got to be very careful. He's got to milk it without looking like he's milking it. Otherwise the whole thing will blow up in his face.

Well, since he was not elected in 2004 Christopher Reeve was never able to walk again. I guess he can start saying if you do not vote for him his wife will die...

Mark makes a good point by alluding to Edwards' manipulative use of Reeve & stem cell research during the 2004 election.

"Well, since he was not elected in 2004 Christopher Reeve was never able to walk again. I guess he can start saying if you do not vote for him his wife will die..."

On the other hand, if we DO elect Edwards as Commander-in-Chief, WE will probably all die as a result of the Dhimmicrats being in charge of national security.

News flash: using "the google", bloggers have confirmed what most of us thought pretty damn obvious but the wingnutosphere simply wouldn't accept: the generic "send a note to Elizabeth and John" form has existed, and added you to the Edwards email list, since long before Elizabeth's diagnosis.

Needless to say, you assholes continue to slander and vilify the man and his dying wife right up through Easter day. I really don't know what to say about this behavior, coming from such fine Christians as yourselves, except that you all really ought to be ashamed. I see the Harpy Queen Malkin has yet to offer a retraction or even a correction, and I'm sure the rest of you will conduct yourselves in a similarly disgraceful manner.
