Mi Mama

It is a Russian tradition that on a child's birthday (or wedding, graduation and any other momentous occasion) that the parents are congratulated.

This has proved confusing in the past when I have congratulated friend's parents on the friend's birthday.

I mention this because my mom is over and fielding more congratulatory phone calls than I am.

In that case, tell your mother we hold her responsible for your obsession with hip-hop.
