Bye-bye, Boris

Boris Yeltsin has died:

Boris Yeltsin, who engineered the final collapse of the Soviet Union and pushed Russia to embrace democracy and a market economy as the country's first post-Communist president, has died, a Kremlin official said Monday. He was 76.

Does this band now get more or less attention?

Democracy was doing fine in Russia when Yeltsin took power. Then he outlawed political parties, arrested activists and practically gave the economy to the russian mob. Sometimes a bad system which works is better than a good idea which doesn't. Ask the people who had to suffer 2000% inflation.
