Maybe John Kerry should've tried that approach
Vote for me or there will be violence, said Segolene Royal, France's Socialist candidate for president.
Like Confederate Yankee, I wonder who, exactly, Royal expects to riot.

Everyone knows that leftists are "peaceful," particularly French leftists.
Good heavens, 65 years ago, we couldn't even get them to use violence against the German army who were sipping coffee at Paris cafes.
You scoff, but that same threat of violence was one of Bush/Cheney's main talking points in 2004.
Posted by: Michael at May 5, 2007 07:37 PMSegolene Royal is over $4 per gallon now in San Francisco.
Posted by: W.C. Varones at May 6, 2007 12:21 AMYes, I remember Bush/Cheney warning that Republicans were going to rise up en masse if Kerry won.
Posted by: Karol at May 6, 2007 12:44 AMTrouble in 'Gay' Paree. No way, the men ? wouldn't want to damage their parasols. Spell checked papasols but it's their little pink umbrella's. LMAO A socialist saying a conservative will cause trouble. I still boycott France due to their cowardance and backstabbing.
Posted by: Scrapiron at May 6, 2007 01:07 AMBoycott France? For what? Being smarter than you, and not ending up in the Iraq-quagmire, and buy all that lying shit Bush & co presented to the world in 2003?

Bush/Cheney threatened massive attacks against the U.S. if the Democrats took the White House. These were based on nothing. Nothing at all except the fact that it was an effective tactic. It was pure demagoguery, just as it is in France.
