On a lighter note

Peter is trying to make me believe that he doesn't just watch college softball for the 18-year old chicks in tight pants. I mean, really, I may have been born yesterday but I've made a lot of male friends since then.

On a sidenote, he also hates people who say they listen to "everything" in response to being asked their musical preferences. Well, can't blame him there.

I can't believe he was quoting girls softball stats on his blog. But some of the girls are surprisingly hot.

To be honest, they play a better game than most men. And ok, sure, a lot of them are awfully cute . . .

Karol,

Well, as a happily married male, allow me to come to Peter's defense. I find women's college softball to actually be a really good sport. One, you see honest team play. Two, you see skill rather than hopped up muscle smashing the ball out of the park. Finally, there is legit joy and love of the game, something you don't get to see all that often anymore. I mean, I don't go out of my way to watch the sport but I won't gouge my eyes out of it's on ESPN.
On the other hand, if Peter's a lech normally disregard all of the above--he's on his own.

Thank you, James. It's a weird variation on baseball but very well played. I probably couldn't watch a whole season of it, but I've been really into the World Series tournaments for the past couple of years.

And by the way, I don't hate those people. I was just pointing out that they probably don't like "everything" despite saying they like "everything."

Peter, is
"I don't listen to music. Any music." better?

Peter,

No problem. I often have this philosophical debate with female friends. Sorry, but I like seeing people in legitimate competition and, sadly, women's sports are increasingly the only televised medium where this is possible. Now I'm going to stop bogarding Karol's bandwidth.
