No, really, I'm asking
What's the point of taking a beautiful ferry ride with some friends to the Jersey Shore and spending a glorious day on the beach (a beach full of freaks though it may be, as we inadvertently ended up on the largest nude beach on the east coast--yes, we stayed firmly in our bathing suits) if I don't have a camera to document the whole experience?
UPDATE: Ok, I guess one option is coercing one's semi-professional photographer friend to take some pictures with his fancy camera:

Yesss! That's exactly what happened to me 2 yrs ago, on Sandy Hook. Just yesterday i was telling the whole epic tale in all the gory details to my friends in Philly!
The only difference that I'd entered the nature paradise by means of a small watercraft, starting from Manhattan, not from Jersey shores.
Posted by: Tatyana at July 2, 2007 11:15 AMNo, us too. We took a ferry from midtown. The ferry ride was great, so beautiful, and we had a great day. But wow, what a strange collection of people. We nicknamed it "Misfit Beach."
Posted by: Karol at July 2, 2007 11:19 AMWelcome to my life! I just take my own boat down.
Posted by: Toby at July 2, 2007 11:47 AMHaha, do you go to that beach?
Posted by: Karol at July 2, 2007 11:49 AMGreat Day! Thanks for the props but if I am to be called semipro I wish I fixed the horizon line on the first photo. Anyway the best shot of the day is the one I call "Shaistasis". It's nice having such a large subject to fill the frame!
Posted by: M at July 2, 2007 12:02 PMHey, have you heard about the upcoming rules about photography in public places?
Posted by: Tatyana at July 2, 2007 01:40 PMNope.. sail down and go to the prude beach next door.
Posted by: Toby at July 2, 2007 04:14 PMDid you guys realize that there were two clothed beaches very close to where you were?
Posted by: Alceste at July 2, 2007 06:31 PMNo, we sure didn't. Almost everyone was clothed on this beach, anyway. We did see one or two naked people (men, specifically) and many indecently clothed people (Huge Russian guy in a g-string, super-obese people in tiny suits).
