The joke is getting old
Drug czar calls marijuana growers "dangerous terrorists."
I'm actually not a "legalize it" type, despite my mostly libertarian leanings. My reason is that I've been to Amsterdam and, while I loved the city and found it beautiful, didn't like that it was Crackhead Central, attracting the drug addicts of all the neighboring countries. I would be for legalizing drugs in the U.S. provided Canada and Mexico did the same.
Still, whether or not you're for legalization, calling pot growers "terrorists" is ridiculous. The word terrorist once had a meaning and it was one who used violence to achieve political objectives. Where is the violence in marijuana growing? What is the political change the growers are seeking? The word is just wrong, no matter one's opinion on drug use or distribution. And if we want to be taken seriously on matters of terrorism, perhaps we should fight actual terrorism, not some hippies growing a little haze out in Northern Cali.

I can't remember if you dabled in the foul weed when you were in Scotland but its a fair bet if you did it didn't come from peace loving hippies but rather terrorists or at least organised criminal gangs.
To be on the safe side I would advise everyone to stop smoking cannabis in all forms. Not because it it supports terrorists but because it turns you into a tit.

1. uncrowd our prisons
2. open up new revenue streams
3. take power away from foreign drug cartels or terrorist groups
Those three things alone make it worthwhile.

I'm not saying terrorists can't grow herb, just that not all herb-growers are terrorists nor does growing pot make you a terrorist. And, certainly the people referred to in the article, living in hippie-land California, are not terrorists.
