Headline: The Number of Americans Moving to Canada in 2006 Hit a 30-Year High

Fark headline
: First paragraph: Last year a record 10,942 Americans moved to Canada, mostly to get away from Bush. Fourth paragraph: Last year 23,913 Canadians also moved to the US, presumably to get away from Canada's superior health care or something

I wonder how many of those Americans were, you know, married to Canadians?

I've occasionally thought about moving to Vancouver. It is g-oooorr-geous up there.

It's gorgeous, but lower BC has some issues.

What I find odd is I am in Canada working on a project and I can't wait to get home. $4.95 for a beer in a cheap resteraunt, $15 for a 10" pizza and a pepsi, $4.14 for a gallon of gas, the tent city 1 mile from the hotel and the employees at the hotel wanting names and numbers so they can get a job in the states. Oh, did I mention the $1B Canada spent last year on premature births? The 1B they paid the US becuase they could not handle the emergencies here? Or the "doctor" brokers, the guys you pay to get you in front of the list. At least I get to see the stories in the local paper that never make it to the states.
