No, I've never had a mushroom sandwich
Starbucks opens first cafe in Russia:
The food menu at the Moscow Starbucks features traditional offerings like blueberry muffins, as well as dishes designed for the local market such as honeycakes and mushroom sandwiches.
Hat-tip Peter.

It's probably mushroom salad on a piece of bread, just like tuna salad here. And honeycakes refers to prianiki.
Posted by: Yelena at September 6, 2007 03:33 PMMy wife and I were in St. Petersburg last June and I was amazed at the number of Starbucks-looking coffee houses.
All sorts of colors, even the trademarked green.

Mushroom sandwiches (assuming traditional rye or black bread) sound pretty good. However, will Starbucks offer coffee in traditional Russian flavors, such as borscht and copier fluid?
