Hip-hop Bleg
I never did finish my monster dissertation on why I love 50 Cent, but it's just as well as he spent the last week trying to make me not love him anymore.
Still, I'm on Team 50 for tomorrow, hoping he outsells Kanye West. I do think this whole album sales rivalry is good for hip-hop despite the fact that most serious fans already own both albums after they had been leaked online.
Having said that, I'm looking for the Kanye song "Homecoming". It's probably my favorite song on his album and I can't seem to find a clean version of it. And don't tell me to wait until tomorrow when the album actually comes out. That's crazy talk.
UPDATE: Perhaps the version I have is the album one? Can anyone confirm there is cheering in the song in the background?

I've never watched the VMAs, ever, and I don't think even a second of a clip. I only read it about the shows on the day after.
Well, I wish I had seen it just to see Kanye's tantrum. "Give a black man a chance"? Yeah, whatever. It's not patriotism, but the accusation of "racism" that is now the last refuge of the scoundrel. Then again, "scoundrel" is probably too good a term for him.
The title for his new album: "Waaaaaaaaaaa."
