Song of the Day

"I am trying to break your heart" by Wilco.

I'm in an alt-country mood after od'ing on hip-hop for the last few days.

Sidenote: he spends 6 1/2 minutes explaining how he's trying to break her heart, and regretting letting her go, and then the last 30 seconds pleading that he's the man who loves her? I'd rather Eminem tell me he can't be my Superman.

That's a good track, and "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" is a great album...but incidentally, I've always thought the song "Heavy Metal Drummer" doesn't belong on it.
It's kind of out of place on the album the same way "Bullet the Blue Sky" was out of place on U2's 'The Joshua Tree.'

If you're a Wilco fan, I have a first-person Wilco encounter regarding "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" I should share with you.
I'll email it.

I love YHF. LOVE. And the documentary was great too, unlike that horrible Radiohead belly-button-gazing-bs.

And, I like Heavy Metal Drummer. It's the song that got me into the album.

Email me your story. I'm not going to becoming a Fulham fan but I am behind on respoding right now. ;-)
