Sitting from the catbird seat, I'm not sure which was more entertaining--the Yankees' implosion or the Mets playing the role of the hare.

I mean, when ESPN does it's "25 Greatest Choke Jobs" again, let's just say the state of New York will figure prominently. At least the Buffalo Bills can say they came out on the good end of one NFL asphyxiation.

I'm a yankees fan...but the truth of the matter is that even Yankee fans should root for the Mets because who doesn't want to see the Mets v. Yanks series....serious.

None the less, like I say, don't get all excited or sad about a team unless they are paying your bills. It is just two teams playing against one another...nothing more...nothing less.

Don't worry about us: this is our chance to get rid of the Yankee infiltrator.

As if that makes last night's game any less embarrassing for the Yanks. Come on now, you already shamed yourselves by staring at Boston's behind all year, the least you can do is die gracefully in the playoffs. Did I mention the score was 12-3? Against the Indians? You realize nobody in Cleveland even knows their team made the playoffs?

And yet Mets fans would give what exactly to be the Yankees right now? Look, the bitter thing is just embarrassing. Root for NY! I would.

That's a good question -- I don't know exactly how much, but I think the Mets would have to give another $130 million approximately to be the Yankees.

But then, I don't know that Mets fans would support that. I think they'd rather just see the Mets play better baseball than, you know, just spend twice as much money as everyone else.

Btw, you can't have it both ways -- if you start off with a post bashing the Mets, you are precluded from falling back to the defense of "hey, we're all New Yorkers, can't we just get along". Nice try though.

Hey! I rooted for the Mets last year after the Yanks were out of it. And actually, like I previously wrote, I rooted for them this year because I wanted a shot at the Subway Series.

And puhleeeeeeeeeease Mets fans would do whatever they had to to be the Yankees. Just because your owner pockets more of the cash than he spends on the team doesn't mean you have to hate on the Yanks.
