The state that I am in
Meanwhile, Spitzer was on a local Sunday public affairs show where he tried to explain why a driver's license wouldn't mean that it would be easier for an illegal immigrant to buy a firearm. Let's just say that the explanation didn't, uh, scan well. Bet you didn't know that you needed a "federal I.D." to get a gun.Oh, there's no such thing as a "federal I.D.," you say?
Welcome to Eliot Spitzerland.
I was thinking recently that only in NY could a Democratic governor blunder so badly and not risk a serious GOP challenge. We just don't have anybody to run against him...or do we? Robert George has Bloomberg-for-governor rumors.

That would be cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Since the House looks like a lost cause let's make the best of things
Posted by: Gerard at November 6, 2007 01:34 PMI firmly believe Spitzer ended his career with this idiocy, and I believe those of us who oppose open borders, unrestricted immigration, and one-worldism need to continue to speak out forcefully against this stupid, stupid plan with the licenses.
On the other hand, Pete King is a complete psychopath, and, since he has essentially built his career on the myth of "Islamofascism", one would hope that he will dispose of himself as quickly as "Islamofascism" will vanish, in the light of sunshine.
