This is not new. In Illinois about a decade ago, a mother and father killed their teenage daughter for being too American. The FBI discovered this when the man was already in jail for being a terrorist fundraiser, as the FBI at that time allegedly had fewer than a dozen agents who could translate the Arabic on the (legal) wiretaps.

One reads about "honor killings" and preventive "honor killings" and apostasy killings all over Europe these days. No one really writes about how these murders show the clash between the Islamic mindset and Western Civilization.

Somewhere, an Islamic apologist is blaming this "honor" killing on Jews, Americans, Danish cartoons, or Islamo-phobia.

Muslims believe that women are a roadblock to men achieving salvation. Thus men feel no remorse or constraint in killing them.

Once again, we see how bad people have hijacked their religion to suit their own ends.
Of course, I'm sure this never happened in any other faiths.

ps, just read cnn about an attack on some jews on the Q train, following a wish of "Happy Hanukah!". "This is a Christian Nation!" and "wasn't that when the Jews murdered Jesus?" were heard to be said before one of the jewish students got smacked. Who jumped in? Oh yeah, a muslim-american (originally from Bangladesh). But wait, does not compute, danger bad boy.
Point: we can all cherry-pick bad things (and also good) to make one lot of people seem a certain way, but it ain't healthy, and it sure isn't accurate. Think of persons or peoples you feel are harshly done by before you damn another.
