Where will the rest go?
Ron Paul supporter Todd Seavey gives up the ReLovelution dream, calls Huckabee "Republican Worst-Case Scenario", endorses Fred Thompson. Most importantly, mentions me.

"[Paul] came in a useless fifth in the New Hampshire primary"
So he backs the guy who came in an even-more-distant sixth? LOL.
Posted by: Joe Grossberg at January 14, 2008 11:27 AMI'm still voting for Ron Paul. Someone has to say NO to the government and although I realize he never was a so-called viable candidate, I've decided a vote for him is still a vote for my ideals.

And, ya know what, Todd? He never, NEVER will.
"I've decided a vote for him is still a vote for my ideals."
Good on you, Marco.
I believe most supporters of Dr. Paul do so for their own very personal and individual reasons (how refreshing!) but, in a way, the defections of folks like Todd (particularly ANYONE who would consider endorsing Thompson) are actually an encouraging development for Dr. Paul's supporters.
Such individuals are political fashion victims who really are voting for an image, a perception, the latest flavor of the day, but they do not place the interests of this nation or its people above their own personas at any rate, and to jettison them will definitely free the movement of excess baggage, making it easier to root out the true suppressives.
You'll see "Fred!" mania peak in a few weeks, but it will ultimately fail, and it will be his own ragtag army of marginals which will be his undoing.
The vast majority of the nation's voters do not want a continuance of endless wars on behalf of other nations and an even more hawkish foreign policy, combined with a nineteen-year history as a Washingtonian lobbyist, disastrous financial policies, a lackluster outlook on border enforcement that is best categorized by the phrase, "oh, just don't be nice to the illegals, and they'll leave on their own, when they are ready", an extremely dark health history of prognosis that includes cancer that is very apparent in his visage and energy level, and, to top it all off, a prospective underaged First Lady whose slutty countenance will do little to enhance America's already cheapened image.
I'm not one to favor one particular Republican candidate besides Dr. Paul anyway, but my intuition is you'll all wind up having to settle for McCain as your candidate, and cut your losses.
None of the others seem strong enough to go up against Hillary (if the GOP is even really trying).
