Song of the Day
"I'm trying to break your heart" by Wilco.
I have no idea what this song is about. I mean, yes, I get it, he's trying to break her heart. But the lyrics are just so weird.
Update: I just looked it up and this was actually my song of the day in September too. I didn't understand what he was saying then either.

That song is sick, and enjoyable from the first listen. Nothing like a good musical qualude.
Can you send it to me Karol?

Posted by: its vintage duh at January 23, 2008 10:26 PMKarol, you should check out Uncle Tupelo's final album, "Anodyne," which was released just prior to the band splitting into two new bands (Wilco & Son Volt)
It's vintage alt-country.
Posted by: BadBoyInASuit at January 23, 2008 11:37 PMGreat song, great album. Also: I avoided the latest Wilco disc for a few months because I felt so burned by A Ghost is Born--shudder, sigh, grr--but it is a really great, back to the roots disc. As for Uncle Tupelo, I enjoy that stuff, too, but I was always happy they split into two better bands.
