The big secret to happiness

It's ground-breaking, really (Hat-tip Hot Air Headlines.):

People who are sociable, active, stable, hardworking and conscientious tend to be happier, the researchers reported in the journal Psychological Science.

I just started reading a, so far, great book on happiness called "Stumbling on Happiness" by Daniel Gilbert. The premise is that humans have no idea how to actually make themselves happy. I'm only something like 20-pages into the book so I can't give you too many details on his theories, but they seem pretty right-on thus far.

Finally, my friend Frank White sent along this video today. Am I growing a heart in my old age? I'm pretty sure that was a lump in my throat.

Happiness is pretty gay too. And yet we strive for it.

In other words, people who take care of their responsibliities, get their asses out of bed and are considerate toward others are happier than slackers who spend 24/7 playing WoW?

Who'd have thunk?

They had me until hardworking...back to misery for me.

Frank White is an Oprah fan??? Tell him to get rid of the dog and I'd be his biggest fan.
