Apparently, you don't know many martial artists.
When I was in college, I'd hit the gym at the same time as the football team and the Martial Arts club. The football players would be benching around 400 pounds or so. They'd get up, and the martial artists, who were averaging around 5'6" and 130 lbs, would lie down and start doing reps without changing the weight on the bench press.
