Governor Bruno?

Did David Patterson get a city job for his mistress?

Allahpundit writes:

If it’s true, I’ll have to revise my timeline for when New York will have a Republican governor again. Two weeks ago, I thought it’d be 10 years. Now I’m thinking … next week, maybe?

Gov. Joe Bruno does seem like an interesting prospect...

Shouldn't you guys pass a succession law first? You know, so A. your governor can leave the state and B. so your executive branch isn't dependent on a 78-year-old ticker.

I like train wrecks and popcorn as much as the next person, but I'd rather it not happen when it may affect the rest of us.

When the scandal broke I wrote that Bruno would assume the post if Paterson was unable to serve. Who knew it would all happen so quickly?

Jeez, and they say Californians are liberal about sex.

I don't see why the legislature can't create the position of NY State Mistress. That way it's easier on the security detail and the press, and the mistress could have, you know, a state pension.

And you'd have a lot more confidence the governor would last the week. It must cost a fortune to change the letterhead.

Few things could be scarier than Bruno as Govenor, especially while Bloomberg is still Mayor.

Wow, what a double wammy. The Universe must hate New York.
