In my mind, I'm already gone

I divide my life by the seasons. Last Winter and Spring, bad. Summer, very good. Fall, very bad. Winter, very good.

I'm ready for Spring (officially starting tomorrow though the cold, rainy weather in NY suggests the unofficial date will be somewhat later) and I'm very ready for Summer. Some pics from Summer '07 to get us all, or just me, in the mood for some warm weather:

Long Beach, NY:

Just because this post is more for me than for you doesn't mean I don't want comments. Just. Saying.

It's time for flip-flops, I'm sick of the whole sock thing!

I think the weather's fine now (after a run of some serious schizo weather). But we got some real, honest-to-G-d snow, not sleet or freezing rain.

Shawn, I don't think anyone in Texas should have the right to complain about the weather. That should be in the Consitution or something.

And Lisa, I too am ready for flip-flops and open-toe shoes. So ready.

I've heard rumors about this several month period they call "winter."
Isn't that the time of year when all the folks from back east come out here ?

Grr...you and your perfect California weather. In a place that has no seasons, do you still refer to it as "last winter" or "last spring"?

"In a place that has no seasons, do you still refer to it as "last winter" or "last spring"?"
---------------

Well, using the seasons as frames of reference can result in a little confusion, particularly when one wants to speak of 'that beach party' which actually took place last D-e-c-e-m-b-e-r."

Ha, ha, ha.

This year for RH, would you give up the crabs, please? After all, their closest terrestrial relatives are cockroaches and body vermin. Moreover, shellfish can ingest toxins and fix them in their bodies and shells without harm to themselves - sort of nature's recycling. However, if you interrupt that recycling, YOU ingest the poisons, heavy metals, etc. supped by the crab or whatever seabug you dine upon.
