Quote of the Day
You all know my problems with McCain but it's hard to argue with the fact that he seems to be the perfect candidate for this election:
McCain, though, turns out to be the near-perfect Republican candidate in this election, and he has the Democrats to thank for it. Instead of triangulating to the center, both Obama and Hillary have run to the far Left. They have embraced the populism that failed John Edwards in two successive cycles and pushed the Democrats farther Left than any time since 1972. Meanwhile, McCain’s existing credibility with independents and moderates has allowed him to quietly gain supporters without alienating the Republican base — again, thanks to the leftward push of the two Democrats.Posted by Karol at April 10, 2008 01:42 PM | TrackBack

Oh, I'm alienated, but I'll vote for the prick. It's like choosing Nixon over McGovern. He's the lesser of two evils.
Posted by: Casca at April 10, 2008 02:52 PMI will be amazed if we have a Democrat in the White House next year. Amazed.
Posted by: Eric at April 10, 2008 03:03 PMThis is the first time since Nixon have I seen a Republican ahead in the polls 7 months before the election.
Normally, Republicans only move ahead in October when their advertising campaigns offset the left-wing propaganda in the MSM.
This should be a blowout of major proportions for McCain.
Posted by: Jake at April 10, 2008 03:22 PMI am really starting to subscribe to the theory that Hillary is wrecking Obama so she can run in '12. The poll where McCain has surged ahead would make any true party stalwart as opposed to narcissist stop the madness.
Posted by: James at April 10, 2008 03:42 PMYeah. McCain = Best. Candidate. Ever. Ever. Lock it up for McCain '08.
