So...who are we rooting for tonight?
I maintain: go Obama!
UPDATE: Actually, since I'm ultimately rooting for gridlock in Denver, I want Hil to win PA by a sizable margin but Obama to go on and take the nomination.

Posted by: Shawn at April 22, 2008 05:13 PMDefinitely Hillary. If She can actually make it to the convention and get the nomination based on superdelegates, the "we wuz robbed!" factor will keep a quarter of Democrats home in the general.
Posted by: Eric at April 22, 2008 08:13 PMI am hoping for real chaos and Al Gore wins the nomination.
Posted by: Jake at April 22, 2008 10:41 PMYeah, I think I'd like to see a real ratings-grabber of a National Convention.
Posted by: Shawn at April 22, 2008 11:28 PMGod bless America! What more could we ask for?

On one hand, after this, no one can ever again get pissed off for the primary season being so frontloaded. On the other, if this shit lasts past june, I might end up writing in whoever is left - on the left - who doesn't piss me off.

You don't want that.
It would be a great thing for the Republicans if their candidate was not John McCain. Plus, It's more money to be raised by the Obama camp (another $40 mil. maybe vs. McCain's struggle to raise funds just because he is competing against anyone), more time for the Obama camp to get ready for the attacks against him. And don't expect Hil to lose the general election if she pulls a miracle and wins the nomination (-which is very unlikely). She will be unstoppable.
All that just because one of them will be running against McCain. (aka another 4yrs of Bush)
And Jake could be right too expect for the real chaos part.
Posted by: Kj at April 23, 2008 11:09 AMMoney isn't everything. Obama outspent Hillary 3:1 in Pennsylvania and he couldn't budge the percentages. Money is critical when nobody knows who you are, but at this stage?
Posted by: Eric at April 23, 2008 11:48 AMEric,
I agree with you (100%). It isn't everything. But it's a plus to have more money in hand when you are virtually tied in the polls for November.

HAHAHAHAHAH Jake funny.
Posted by: Not Dawn Summers at April 23, 2008 05:37 PMOh admit it Dawn, you threw up in your mouth a bit the first time you read Jake's comment. Your laughter is the near-maniacal, "No, wait, that can't _really_ be Chtulu..." type. ;P
Personally, I'm just going to keep laying on food and water for my bunker, thanks. About all we need now is a natural disaster on November 1 (to allow time for finger pointing and incompetence) to make this Presidential race complete. Both parties are making me long for us just picking the Presidency via SSN lottery--except we'd probably end up with some illegal immigrant. ("Hey a**hole, I'm the real Jack Mitchell!" "Well he looked like a Jack." "Yeah, not all illegals are Hispanic, sh*thead!")
