Happy birthday, dear Israel, happy birthday to you

Pretty Numbers reminds me that making burekas today is appropriate as Israel turns 60! Happy birthday, my second favorite country on earth!

Here in Asheville, it seems like I never hear anyone talk trash about Israel anymore, nor do I see any of those stupid letters to the editor. Is this happening elsewhere?

That's odd Michael. The only news I have heard of Israel in the last week or so concerns a story at I think the Atlantic about the demographic problems Israel is facing (kind of like Western Europe alas) and of course the capture of yet another Ziofacist betraying the United States by the name of Ben-Ami Kadish . Happy birthday Israel. You made it to 60 due to the kindness and generosity of the American people. Let's hope that Israel can avert the demographic crisis and stops biting the hand that feeds it so it can make another 60.

Happy Birthday, saw an interesting news report from the point of view of two young people living in Israel today, one jewish one muslim. Sorry, no details, just very interesting IMO.

Von Beck,

Zio-facist?
What is fascist about Israel and why are you using leftist languge???
Are you now a communist or do you simply lose all morals and values in hatred of Israel?

Kadish is a traitor and will rot in jail for 20-year old acts. On the other hand, the US is ignoring ongoing treason by Muslim Translators. Does that bother you?

Finally, Israel's "demographic crisis" is overblown. The number of Arabs in the disputeted territories is over counted as is their growth rate by about 50%.

How is it leftist? The term Islamofacist is used all the time by people on the right. Would you prefer the term Judeofacist? I use the term Ziofacist to describe those who are so fanatical about Israel that they feel the need to betray the US or commit evil acts of violence for their cause. I would label Yigal Amir, who shot Rabin, and of course the traitors I mentioned above as Ziofacists. Sorry, every faith has those types of bastards. For my own faith, I would say the likes of Franco were Cathofacists (as opposed to Peron who was a Catholic and a facist but not exactly a Cathofacist).

Bottom line, what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. If I can use the term Islamofacist, then I can use the term Ziofacist.

As for hating Israel, if you read the post above, you will see I wish that country a happy birthday and hope that they do not have the demographic crisis we mentioned. I hope you are right on that count.

I have said before that I think the like of John Walker Lindh should be executed for treason and any American citizen who harms this nation for another power should be charged with treason and meet the consequences. So yes the Muslim Translators bother me. I think we need to close our borders and have the chief religious foundations of the west play a greater role in the public square.

Does Von Bek mean the sort of person who equates criticism of Israel the country to being anti-semetic. I hear a lot of people accused of anti-semitism for this reason. Surely there are enough jew-haters in the world without lumping in friends who care enough to help too.
I've always said: you're best friends will let you know when you've done badly, but they can still be true friends.

Islamofascist is a poor term because it is imprecise. This is something paleocons have been correct in arguing and something, I believe, you once wrote. So stop the BS.
However, the there is some merit to it in so far as the Muslim Brotherhood has long been associated with fascist movements.
On the other hand, with the exception of a minority faction, expelled from the Revisionist Zionist camp by Jabotinsky in the 1930s, and one or two members factions of the Freedom Fighters for Israel (Stern Gang), there were and are no Zionist fascists.

Kadish is a traitor, but where is the fascism?

Yigal Amir was a religious zealot, who was a pawn of a General Security Services/Shabak scheme to discredit the right, that got out of control (the death of Rabin), before succeeding through martyrdom.

Doesn't work. There was no Jewish Peron or Franco, although Ben Gurion and Rabin were both known for using the military to kill their political opposition in the Altalena incident.

Exactly my point. I use the term Ziofacist tougne in cheek as a way of smacking down the term Islamofacism-a term way too many on the right embrace and throw around. I think of our enemy as jihadists and it's nice to see W. call them as such.
