Do they know their man?
Video: Ellen DeGeneres asks McCain about gay marriage.
I'm looking forward to watching Barack Obama answer that question. I bet most of his supporters don't even know that he opposes gay marriage. They just assume the liberal Messiah must support it.

In the UK, our gay community use civil partnerships, celebrate them like marriages (if they want) and don't really have any huge problems like Ellen does about them. Am I missing something?
I see these partnerships as a useful thing, because a person may have a close bond with another they cannot 'marry' (they may even be close relatives), and the law has to recognise pension and inheritence rights for that person. Leaving a will isn't enough.
