Have I mentioned that I think an Obama/Hillary ticket is McCain's best bet?
"If you put Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama together, they'd be unstoppable. They could be in the White House for sixteen years!"
-Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe

I love the deluded thought process that allows McAuliffe to think that after 8 years as POTUS, Obama would be honored to be HRC's veep.
Posted by: Charles at June 5, 2008 02:28 PMOr that Hillary won't claw his eyes out in week 1.
Posted by: Karol at June 5, 2008 02:37 PMIf Hillary was VP, Bill Clinton would be at Obama's throat hourly. Bill would also try to upstage Obama by holding daily briefings as he did as President. Obama would have a mighty struggle to retain the spotlight.
Two good things would come of that team. The government would be paralyzed and it would be great fun to watch.
Posted by: Jake at June 5, 2008 03:55 PMSo who'd be Felix and who'd be Oscar?
Posted by: Shawn at June 5, 2008 04:07 PMMy bet is on Mike Easley.
White, Southern male governor who loves illegal aliens, especially from South of the border.
It is the perfect fusion ticket if you're a demented, Mercedes Marxist.
Posted by: Gerard at June 5, 2008 08:49 PMMy money is on Gen. Wes Clark. I'd get poor odds for HRC. She has done too much to damage Obama IMO.
Posted by: bryan at June 5, 2008 10:04 PMBHO should triple his security detail and hire some body-doubles. Hillary's last hope is that "something" might "happen" to him, and she'll be waiting in the wings to assume her rightful place in history. I wouldn't put anything past the Clintons.
Posted by: Snoop-Diggity-DANG-Dawg at June 6, 2008 09:08 AMOh God, I hope it's Wes Clark. Between his "New York Money Men" comments and Obama's weathervane principles in the middle east, this might be the first election since God was a kid where the Democrats lose the Jewish vote.
I still think this election is McCain's to lose. Clark would make it easier.
Posted by: Eric at June 6, 2008 01:27 PMVarious polls claim a majority of dems support an Obama/Hillary ticket.
DO it, dems. Just DO it.
Posted by: Snoop-Diggity-DANG-Dawg at June 6, 2008 02:15 PMThere's one reason Hillary won't happen: Michelle.
Wes Clark is a little too close to the Clintons and probably wouldn't survive an oppo check. If just one half the Army stories about him are true, he'd be 527 lunch meat so quick it'd make Barry's head spin. "A man so integrity-challenged Bill Clinton fired him."
