Posted by: Not Dawn Summers at June 19, 2008 02:19 PMGood for Obama. We're that much closer to repealing public campaign financing.
Posted by: Jim Lesczynski at June 19, 2008 02:46 PMIs John mcCain not rich?
Posted by: bryan at June 20, 2008 06:08 AMFuck a duck! 85 million dollars he's refusing. That's a lot of wedge!
Posted by: bryan at June 20, 2008 06:29 AMMcCain isn't wealthy, but his wife is. Yes, there is a difference.
But even if his wife poured her fortune into his campaign, it would pale to what Obama can raise. Eight-five mil from public financing? That's a third, if not a quarter of what he could get privately.
