Here a racist. There a racist. Everywhere a racist, racist.
That new McCain ad, which again mocks Obama's celebrity, is, of course, racist. What? It features white women saying Obama is hot stuff. Which, because he's half black, means that McCain is trying to say that Obama is going to steal our white women! Our something like that. Asks Ace:
I'm just curious -- if, hypothetically, the McCain camp begins showing black people going bananas over Obama, how soon will the left begin claiming that by showing black people McCain is attempting to underscore the fact that Obama is (half) black and attempting to sow racial animus that way?Posted by Karol at August 12, 2008 08:47 AM | TrackBackYou can't show white women, you can't show blacks at all. Apparently the only politically correct Obama supporter to show is a white man, a cohort that does exist, of course, but is hardly his base.
But if we do, say, show an obvious stoner college kid in a P-Funk t-shirt singing Obama's praises -- why, that will also be racist because it's associating Obama with pot smoking, thus painting him as one of those hop-headed jazz Negros who are corrupting the morals of German society.

I repeat:
So I've read the article (the moronic New York Magazine one) and now I'm waiting to walk my dog so I can finally put that trash to good use. I feel so enlightened now that I know that voting for someone with more than 3 hours of experience brands me an African American fearing racist. What garbage. So should we all now feel compelled to vote for Barack lest we reap a race riot afterwards? What is this crap article attempting to report?
McCain's ads are showing that only bubble heads support Obama. If black women were shown to support Obama, it would infer they are bubble heads and that may be considered racist.
Karol, be careful that you do not take a picture showing Dawn with 2 white men. Liberals will brand you a racist if they see the picture.
Posted by: Jake at August 12, 2008 04:44 PMSo, um, what about those of us who have excess melanin content who feel like Ari does on the whole experience issue? Oh, wait, we're "self-hating" black people.
Grr. No good can come of this. When he gets smashed by double digits in some states there will be immediate cries of conspiracy and the like. Not healthy for the Republic.
Posted by: James at August 13, 2008 06:49 AMQuite a valid question Ari, and one I have been asking in my own way. IF Obama looses will there be accusations of voter fraud, voter intimidation, dissemination of false information to prospective voters, etc.followed by months of recounts? And again I am asking IF he looses. If he wins what will the RNC do? When Bush 41 lost to Clinton there was no backlash, chest beating or recounts, just a graceful departure. When AlGore lost there were rumors the departing staff removed all the "B's" or "W's" from the computers and left a general mess. This is all speculation, we will all have to wait until November 4 (or there abouts) to find out.
