Song of the Day
"Straight to You" by Nick Cave.
I woke up this morning with this song in my head and a cranky mood. And I thought, "no, this is like one of Nick Cave's happiest songs, this won't do at all." So I fired up youtube and listened to all the Nick Cave sad ones. "Weeping Song", "Nobody's Baby", "Henry Lee", "Where the wild roses grow". But I kept coming back to this one. Straight to him, as it were. On a separate note, how did things not work out with him and PJ Harvey? Does the world have a more perfect couple?

I never thought of Where The Wild Roses Grow as sad before, but I suppose it is. It's creepy, in a sort of Jane Eyre-ish way, but so pretty.

Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

You do know he kills her at the end, right?

And in Henry Lee she kills him.

Yeah, I liked them a lot too. But this is more like Marilyn Manson and Dita Von Teese.

Sure, that's what makes it creepy. I guess it's just, if she's been dead long enough for the town to have given her ghost a name (that isn't hers), the sad part has passed?

Hahahahaha. Good point.
