You're racist if you don't vote for my guy

In the year 2008, there are few heroes. But there is one man, one Leonard Greene, who tells it like it is:

"The biggest issue in the 2008 presidential election is the color of one man's skin.

There, it's been said. No more denials. No more world records in verbal gymnastics. No more elephants on the convention floor."

Wow. He's so brave. I've only blogged about like 8 other articles just like this one (except, seriously, they were mostly better written). We're all racists for not lining up behind the candidate he feels we should support.

He continues:

"How else do you explain a race tighter than Michael Phelps' swim cap?"

I explain it by saying Barack Obama is a weak candidate with limited experience and not a lot of depth. To put it in Olympics terms, the election is a marathon, not a sprint. He can hope-change it up at the start, fire up the crowds, go on a tour of Europe. But all of that gets old if he can't provide specifics on his numerous plans and farfetched ideas.

The fact that it's the NY Post publishing this Greene character is more than a little embarrassing. His article reads like a blog post, except not nearly as thought out.

Hat-tip Ari.

I actually sent Mr. Greene and the NY Post an email:

Mr. Green -
According to you – because I am white and do not plan to vote for Barack I'm a racist. How considerate of you to bring this to my oh-so-ignorant attention.

I really enjoy reading an editorial every single day from a black writer pointing out that it cannot possibly be that I disagree with Barack or, feel that that the President should have some official experience (vs. being merely eloquent) - nope, I'm a sheet wearing klansman. You are doing readers and your community a disservice. You are your fellow racist-pointing writers are in for a serious shock, because if and when he fails you will have begotten this country a special level of racial unrest and possibly riots by telling black readers that we are all racists and that there is no chance in hell that some white people simply disagreed with BaracktheMessiah.

Articles like yours are infuriating and full of blind ignorance. It almost makes me wonder who the racist in this equation really is.

Shame on you for spewing such utter trash and shame on the NY Post for publishing it.

Obama proves that Democrats and the MSM are racist.

They look at Obama and all they can see is his race.

Republicans look at Obama and we see a man who is inexperienced, lacks judgment and has radical left politics.

Ari, would you like to borrow my hat? :)

Yep. My decision not to vote for him has nothing to do with his race and everything to do that I spent more days pregnant with my son than Obama served in politics at the national level.

Kate - if your son is white, I'll write him in.
