Cheap

I liked this travel article about a frugal trip to NY (on $250 a day), mostly because it's stuff actual New Yorkers enjoy doing--which makes sense as it's written by a guy who lives in Brooklyn (although, sidenote, how does he mention "City Bakery" and not mention the pretzel croissants. I mean, honestly).

250 a day is cheap? Have fun.

That includes hotel. I had no idea the Chelsea was so inexpensive, what a cool place to stay at that price (although the people in the article shared a bathroom).

The hotel was a good deal, but they could have done better on their meals. Any place with "confit" on the menu is not going to be cheap. Surely they could have a Coke and a slice or kebabs from a pushcart for one of their meals.
