I'm not claiming him to be "old school" I'm just saying if hip hop is so good at this moment why is the 2008 poll giving the title to someone who has not put a good album out in 6 years?! good music is good music and if you find me a song in popular hip hop today that is slamming, I will like it. Just aren't that many, and I think most people that have listened to music for a while will agree. It's not the fact that its new that bothers me and it is certainly not, ooh i'm 32 and not 28, as you would like to believe. So Producer K turn me on to some good shit, or admit that Vibe magazine thinks like I do.
