Back soon

I'm having an insanely busy day in anticipation of Mr. Rove tonight. Regular blogging will return soon.

Rove and Kristol have quite the advantage in tonight's debate. They only need one counter-example. Hence, Weisberg and Jenkins will have to assert that GWB was a worse POTUS than JC Himself. In every category, Carter was worse - domestic economy, trade relations, domestic and international security, etc.

Great job tonight! Really glad I attended the debate, and we totally rocked the upper west side.

Wait. Did you introduce yourself to me?

Fine. We, your loyal readers, now know where we stand. Pfffft.

Eh, how was it?

No I got there right before the doors closed and looked for you quickly on the way out, being that I barely know what you look like that was pretty tough haha. Next time. But everything was well run I thought. I almost felt bad for Weisberg and Jenkins, even though they were surrounded by some pretty excited supporters in the crowd they could not really stand (or I guess sit) shoulder to shoulder with Kristol and Rove. I thought our guys did a great job; Rove was clearly upset with some of the accusations and defended them vigorously since his own reputation was on the line as well. And Kristol's line at the end about Weisberg's (or was it Jenkins?) ridiculous closing statement about Vietnam being a pretty well run war and a success in many ways. Kristol "are we being serious here? Vietnam was a pretty well run war? Where 55k soldiers and 2 million Vietnamese died and we ran away in defeat?" I thought that was pretty funny since I was thinking the same thing.

Anyway for those that were not there I guess you'll have to wait til Jan 10 for the broadcast.

I thought the debate was incredible. I'm mixed on whether I can write about it seeing as it's also my job. At the end of the debate, I walked by multiple people saying things about Rove like "I hate him, but he's so powerful!" and "Love or hate his politics, he is an awesome speaker". He was just...wow. He wouldn't let anything slide, he defended Bush and himself on every point made. It'll be up on YouTube in a few days, maybe I'll link it then.

Funny sidenote: Stephen Baldwin (everyone's favorite Baldwin, especially Sarah Palin's) and Kevin McCullough were in the audience and I ended up hanging out with them at the dinner afterwards (I didn't get a chance to talk to Rove at the dinner, he was too high in demand). They are so funny. Definitely check out their show: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/stations/HeadingRight/musclehead

Also, Tex, I can always be found at the Press Desk at these debates. I was right at the front of the doors.

Sorry I couldn't come; we've entered The Final Push Before Deadline period at work, that will [hopefully] end Dec 17; until then I'm dead to the outside world.

Fabulous life, Karol!
