Rush will still be around when Steele is a memory-which may be sooner than we would have thought based on his rocky start. Rush....well I think he is more effective when the Democrats are in power. Like way too many right of center pundits/activists/etc, he tossed his principles aside when W. sat in the Oval Office. He's right that the Democrats are always wrong but he is wrong on thinking the Republicans are always right.

It's not that Rush is so powerful, it's that Rush is one of the leaders of the conservative movement. The people who lead the Republican party can't compete with them, their terms are always short. W. was the head of the Republican party for awhile, where is he now?
