No Arabs living in Palestine were evicted from their land during the War of Independence. At least, not by Jews.
This is an elaborately constructed myth that even Said Aburish, not exactly a fervent Zionist, has exposed in interviews.
Posted by: Gerard at March 30, 2009 05:29 AMDamn that's a weak excuse (the holocaust is political). Why not just come out with it and say "We don't want to play nice with the Israelis"
Why does the whole holocaust-survivors-visiting-a-camp-to-hear-music remind me of "Playing for time"?
