Ok, one more post from me before I'm out.

I got some great marriage advice from a NY cabbie yesterday. I don't think a man in the world would disagree with it.

Hmmm...can I hail a New York cab from Virginia?

Well, I disagree with it.

Good for Mr. and Mrs. Cabbie that they are in love and have found something that works for them.

But, frankly, I don't think it's a universally applicable path to happiness, for one partner to be totally subservient to the other, 97.9% of the time.

Call me crazy, but I like something a bit more equitable.

Different strokes for different folks.

Are Monday marraiges a common Jewish thang? My friend worked a Hasidic wedding two days ago. The wedding and reception lasted 15 hours.

What else this guy has to be proud of? He's a 60yo NY cabbie.
At least his wife is a "looker".
And he gets to feel manly for 1/2hr a day.

Great achievement.

Any time a hack admonishes me to "smell this" I know it's time to remove myself from his cab.

We can't get married on Fri or Sat and this Sunday is Palm Sunday or something so it would've been difficult as the island of Turks&Caicos is fairly religious. So Monday it is.

"...Palm Sunday or something..." lovely.

All the best, Ms. Karol.

We demand pictures, and video. Cake would be nice too, but I don't think it would travel ;-)

"Palm Sunday"

Yes, that's when you showered Him with cheers and palms, five days before killing Him.

;-)
