Tea Party

I'm not going to lie, I'm only vaguely aware of what the Tea Party movement is all about. I did, however, get in a scrap on Howard Kurtz's (from Washington Post) Facebook page yesterday after some liberal chick commented that people in her circle (seriously, "in my circle") found the Tea Party participants to be the dumbest Americans around (or something like that, she ended up deleting all her comments after my smackdown) and that she found the whole thing "chilling" and "scary". I don't know about you, but if a liberal isn't chilled (and she ended up using that word two more times in our back and forth), then we're not doing it right.

Anyway, apparently this is a protest on spending and the future tax hikes that will accompany this spending. Not the most well-tuned idea, I think, but what the hey, let's chill some liberals!

The NY one is happening today at 7:00pm at City Hall Park. Here's the line-up:

Speakers Include:
- Newt Gingrich, General Chairman of American Solutions and former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives

- Andrew Wilkow of The Wilkow Majority on Sirius Radio

- Jordan Sekulow of Jay Sekulow Live! on XM and Sirius Radio

- David Webb, Radio host and on-air personality, co-founder of the Black Republican Forum and moderator of the American Forum Series

- KT McFarland, Security Advisor in the Reagan Administration and regular Fox News contributor

- Michael Johns, former Presidential Speechwriter, Heritage Foundation policy analyst and award-winning conservative author

- Brett Joshpe, author and attorney

- Janks Morton - Producer and director of the film What Black Men Think

- S. E. Cupp, author and regular Fox News contributor

- Richard Brownell, former President of the New York Young Republican Club

- Alex Zablocki, candidate for New York City Public Advocate

- Brandon Brice, active contributor to HipHopRepublicans.com and has worked as a policy intern for the former House Speaker Honorable J. Dennis Hastert and has served as a fellow at the United Nations.

I read that exchange to which you refer. You are too kind to the woman in question. I would refer to her as a "progressive blogger/boyz chick", not as a liberal. Some of my own opinions are quite "liberal" (small l) and I can assure you and your readers that she and I don't live on the same planet. PROGRESSIVE BLOGGER/BOYZ CHICKS think it perfectly acceptable to engage in the worst kind of self hatred motivated woman bashing if the woman being bashed has the temerity not to adhere to the progressive ideology.
The best example of this is Sarah Palin, who had the nerve to be fertile, pro-life, self made and possessed of minimal formal education. PBB chicks got delirious with some sick form of self loathing using every anti-female epithet imaginable to describe Palin. Many fell back on the old reliable C*#T. That word really reduces a woman to her essence in the blogosphere, dominated by 26 year old white boys furious because they're not dating a super model yet.
Getting back to this lovely lady and her attacks on Kurtz' FACEBOOK page, which I preserved for the record, I love her remarks about PMS, don't you? Aren't we women all really just a hot mess of hormones? And isn't that why Hillary Clinton was so repugnant to the bloggerboyz but Barack Obama was so ...perfect?
Again, you were too kind. I would've posted her mug and her remarks verbatim so everyone can see what a self loathing "chick" looks like.

Come on Karol. Get with the program! Now that you're all married and whatnot (Congratulations, btw) you've lost your edge? Such a sad sight to behold.

All kidding aside, the Tea Party movement (I probably invited you to it on Facebook a month or so ago) has a broad range of goals that express a great disastisfaction with the current "progressive" agenda out of the White House being foisted upon the American public. This includes trillions in deficit spending of no discernible value beyond political patronage, aggressively taxing any and all producers in American society for the benefit of the willfully non-productive or negligent, demonizing free market principles in favor of re-tread socialist agendas seen failing globally (England, France, Italy, Belgium, etc.) and on and on.

I share an incredible dissatisfaction with the Republican regime from 2005-2008, but for the current Administration to exploit this once-in-a-century financial crises to turn this country 180 degrees away from the principles that made us the greatest most prosperous economy on the globe (maybe even ever) is madness.

The Tea Party movement is about sensible Americans standing athwart the current revisionist history yelling STOP!

See you at City Hall :)

Wilkow was great. Newt - not so much.

I'm glad Newt kept it short. And Wilkow was on, as I expected.

I also liked the speakers who highlighted the union-created budget that's emanating from Albany. Chances are that a lot of the people you saw in the crowd tonight won't be New York State residents-at least, not taxpaying residents-come next year.

Newt? Newt? Are you kidding me? Cut spending and taxes.....but we need to support the troops and add more to Afghanistan and maybe take out the regimes of Syria and Iran with even more military operations and every child needs a laptop.
