In fact, when I read Will's piece yesterday, I thought immediately of Malkin's piece about how all those teenage girls were just slicking their bodies open all over the place in order to be cool.

Ken, you're employing a logical fallacy known as "poisoning the well." Just because Malkin has been wrong does not mean anything she says is wrong.

It does go to credibility, but regardless of anything she's previously said, in this particularl situation Malkin has all the proof we need.

I disagree with Will. I think jeans are conservative. They're worn by people who spend their free time being responsible. They fix their cars, mow the yards and go to Home Depot to get water sealant in their jeans. I think I prefer that kind of down home real American conservatism as opposed to the Beltway blazers, bowties and khakis, mommy and daddy take care of everything (including handing on punditry jobs) conservatism of the Beltway.
