Song of the Day
"Dance me to the end of love" by Leonard Cohen.
This is the song IC wanted for our first dance at our wedding. Long-time readers of this blog know I have a total obsession with Leonard Cohen but still I opposed this being our first song. It just seemed too much, too grand, too IC should be wearing a top hat and twirling me around the room.
Still, I love, love, love this song and today is our two-week anniversary so I dedicate this one to my husband.
I hate that embedding for the video has been disabled but you can listen to the song and view the video, which always puts tears in my eyes, here.
I blog about the song we ultimately chose, here.
By the by, if anyone has a lead on getting Leonard Cohen tickets, I want to hear about it.

When a Leonard Cohen fan in distress, one must do what one can to help. An embeddable version of the official video of Dance Me To The End Of Love is available (or at least was 5 mins ago) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pA5UhNaYw0. Personally, I prefer the live versions (also embeddable) such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki9xcDs9jRk.
Re Leonard Cohen songs at weddings, Leonard Cohen Wedding Music: "I Do" - But Do I Have To Dance All Night? at http://1heckofaguy.com/2008/10/27/leonard-cohen-wedding-music-i-do/ is the story of another Cohen fan whose choice was the far funkier "Do I Have To Dance All Night"
Happy anniversary
