OT: Kayinsane in vintage form defending Biden's "we have to spend more to keep from going bankrupt" demented logic.

He’s right, it's Sarah Palin and other republicans who are saying we need to stop paying the government to increase revenue! Yeah, yeah…receiving less money means it’ll be easier to pay the bills! Spit.

I’m going with Joe Biden’s way of thinking because the old business adage of ‘we have to spend money to make money’ is the only way to get our nation out of debt.

Ronald Reagan spent, taxed, and never reduced spending. Same with George H.W. Bush when he was president…and he even tried starting a war in Iraq at the end too in the hopes to jump start the economy (we were in recession under him and Reagan) and to help himself get reelected.

Dick Cheney allowed the torturing of people, set up a Shadow Government for the Shadow Economy, had his own personal assassination squad, killed millions of brown people and outed a CIA operative during a time of war among other things. And you think Joe Biden is a moron

So let's take that idiot one at a time, RR:
He’s right, it's Sarah Palin and other republicans who are saying we need to stop paying the government to increase revenue! Yeah, yeah…receiving less money means it’ll be easier to pay the bills! Spit.Actually they're talking about starving the beast so it will be forced to go on a diet.

Paraphrasing Milton Friedman, as long as you have a government whose entire basis is taking from Peter to give to Paul, it has no reason to control what it spends on or how much it spends.
I’m going with Joe Biden’s way of thinking because the old business adage of ‘we have to spend money to make money’ is the only way to get our nation out of debt.Businesses "spend money to make money" by investing in things that achieve returns. They spend 10 cents to make something that they later sell for a dollar.

What the feds are doing is spending, as we recently noted, $350K to create a job that, even if it paid $100K, still would take 3.5 years to break even. No business would ever survive on such idiocy.
Ronald Reagan spent, taxed, and never reduced spending.Actually that was Ronald Reagan who pushed for massive tax cuts and monetarily stability, which spurred economic growth after the doldrums of the 70s. Volcker, Kudlow and others warned Reagan that the shock would trigger a recession, but they all knew it was a necessary evil after the Fed-induced stagflation.

It was Congress who decided that, with all the new tax revenue coming in, they'd better spend it and then some. Under RR and GWB, the increases in federal spending in fact dwarfed any of the tax cuts.

So the plain fact is that the tax cuts didn't add to deficits. That's like a husband cutting back $50 a month on some frivolous expense, so the wife figures they're saving money and therefore increases spending by $100 on something even more frivolous.
Same with George H.W. Bush when he was president…and he even tried starting a war in Iraq at the end too in the hopes to jump start the economy (we were in recession under him and Reagan) and to help himself get reelected. So let's get this straight. GHWB "started" a war in Iraq, so I guess it was fiction that Saddam Hussein kidnapped American citizens?

And GHWB was somehow prescient considering that, you know, at the time we had no idea we were in recession. The concern was high oil prices, but not "the economy" overall, and "the recession" wasn't even an issue until the 1992 presidential campaign was well underway. GDP indicators weren't exactly common on the nightly news, and when they were given, they were extremely lagged. NBER didn't even admit until December 1992 that the recession ended in March 1991. (Deliberately done so Clinton could continue campaigning on a bad economy.)
Dick Cheney allowed the torturing of people, set up a Shadow Government for the Shadow Economy, had his own personal assassination squad, killed millions of brown people and outed a CIA operative during a time of war among other things. And you think Joe Biden is a moronI don't like Cheney, yet here any objective person can defend him. I can't say I'm very sad that terrorists have panties put on their heads or are made to stand naked for hours so our female soldiers can make fun of their small pee-pees. Ask Nick Berg.

"Shadow government for the shadow economy"? And that took root...where?

Personal assassination squad...which if true, Obama now has control of too. Where's the objectivity?

Killed millions of brown people...no, that's actually the Mexican drug gangs killing their own brown brothers. If he's talking about Arabs, who are light-skinned, Saddam and post-Saddam "insurgents" are deliberately killing hundreds (thousands?) of times more civilians than we do by accident.

Outing Valerie Plame...whatever. We've discussed this before. Dick Armitage does it, and liberals still want to place the blame on Rove. Or Cheney here; liberals can't even keep their notes straight!

And Biden is a moron. He wouldn't even have the intelligence to be deliberately evil.
